well i read the faqs n i tried ~b through telnet on a switch whr sum bozo has put the enable password and even saved the freekin config so even after restarting the switch i cant log in ... can anyone help me with this??? |

So you want to do a password recovery? It is pretty easy. http://www.ciscosystems.ch/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps628/products_password_recovery09186a0080094184.shtml Do not forget to type the flash_init command. |

I haven't come up with a solution to enable the password recovery mechanism that requires interaction with the mode button (seriously, Cisco?). I just fixed S3, until the next time. |

thanx u guys for all the help.. so this means u cant reset a switch password without actually being there physically, thats not gud in situations like these ... stretch cant u disable the enable passwords on just the switches like u did for the copy commands??? if u have to manually do this every time i think its better to leave them on just for the routers .. if anyone wants to practice them they can do it on routers. |
